TechForce Hosts First Golf Networking Event

TechForce Cyber Hosts First Golf Networking Event

We are excited to share the highlights from our first Annual TechForce Cyber Golf Outing, held at the picturesque Swailend Course at Newmachar Golf Club. The event was a great success, bringing together a dynamic mix of clients, cybersecurity, and IT professionals for a day of friendly competition, networking, and collaboration on the course.

A Day of Fun and Networking

The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement as participants from across the tech and cybersecurity industries came together, not only to enjoy a round of golf but also to engage in meaningful conversations. The event was an opportunity for everyone to strengthen professional relationships, exchange ideas on the latest trends in cybersecurity, and simply unwind in a beautiful setting. The Swailend Course, known for its stunning landscapes, provided the perfect backdrop for these interactions, making it a day to remember.

Whether seasoned golfers or first-time players, everyone embraced the spirit of the day. The mix of skill levels added to the fun, with participants encouraging each other and enjoying the camaraderie that naturally developed throughout the event.

Celebrating Our Winners

Like any great competition, the golf outing concluded with an award ceremony, accompanied by delicious food and beverages provided by the excellent catering at Newmachar Golf Club. We were thrilled to recognise the outstanding performances of our participants:

  • Closest to the Pin: Congratulations to Bruce Catto, who showcased his precision and skill.
  • Longest Drive: Alan Smith displayed impressive power and technique, earning him this well-deserved award.
  • Best Team Award: Team 5, consisting of Ali Gray, George Patterson, Richard Booth, and Keith Seator, demonstrated excellent teamwork and coordination, taking home the top team honours.

These awards capped off a day full of fun and friendly competition, with everyone showing up with their A-game. Beyond the competition, the energy of the event was infectious, with participants celebrating each other's successes and enjoying the camaraderie of the day.

Looking Beyond the Green

While the golf outing was a day of relaxation and enjoyment, it also served as a valuable opportunity for professionals in cybersecurity and IT to come together and discuss the challenges and opportunities in our ever-evolving industries. Conversations ranged from cybersecurity best practices to the latest innovations in IT, with attendees sharing their expertise and experiences in a more informal and relaxed setting.

Events like these are a key part of fostering strong relationships within our industry. By taking a step away from the office and the screens, we are able to engage with one another on a more personal level, which can lead to stronger collaborations in the future.
